Panchakarma Services

The Sanskrit word “Panchakarma” means “Five Actions”. Panchakarma, the comprehensive ayurvedic therapy for ultimate mind-body cleansing, involves five types of ayurvedic therapeutic measures to detoxify and rejuvenate the body and successfully eliminate disease and balance the doshas. (aggravated body element)

The five traditional therapies of Panchakarma are:

  1. Vamana= Therapeutic Vomiting
  2. Virechana= Purgation
  3. Basti= Herbalized oil enemas
  4. Nasya= Nasal irrigation
  5. Raktamokshana= Blood Letting (no longer practiced today)

Panchakarma is traditionally practiced in 3 steps:

Poorva Karma/Preparatory Stage

Procedures which helps all the toxins to accumulate at the nearest site of elimination. How is this done? Thats where the most beneficial and preliminary  step of panchakarma snehana (medicated oil massage), and swedana (steam) comes to play the big role.

Pradhana Karma/Elimination Procedure

Under this is  the actual Panchakarma procedure that is vamana, virechana, nasya and basti.

Paschat Karma/Post Therapy Care

Bringing the client back into normal diet and lifestyle is the focus here.

Note :

Panchakarma is an immersive experience that requires the participant to take 5-21 days of the full treatment which includes the above-mentioned steps. When these steps are traditionally followed, brings the completion of panchakarma in a sense of deep body detoxification.
