Netra Tarpana is essentially made up of two Sanskrit words: “netra” meaning eyes and “tarpana” meaning rehydration. This replenishing and nourishing eye treatment has been carefully designed for different eye disorders such as dryness, itching, watering. In addition, tired eyes will soon become smoother and refreshed. Netra Tarpana cools, lubricates, and revitalizes the eyes. This treatment improves inner vision by cleaning even the smallest channels associated with inner and outer perception. It helps bring back clarity to the eyes as impurities are expelled and ailments are corrected. Netra Tarpana also helps correct the early formations of cataracts, insomnia, glaucoma, and conjunctivitis.

All the therapies will include an Ayurvedic consultation for Dosha and skin type assessment to help understand internal imbalances. This consultation includes diet and lifestyle changes.

Benefits of Netra Tarpana

  • Nourishes tired, dry, rough and injured eyes

  • Strengthens the nerves and muscles of eyes

  • Gives the freshness to the eyes

  • Increases the circulation of the facial muscles and facial nerves

Nethra Tharpana

Netra tarpana is done using a ring made of dough filled with medicated ghee (clarified butter) which is retained in the eyes for a certain time.

This gives relaxation and nourishment to the nerve endings in the head thus having a systematic cooling and calming effect on the whole body. A warm blanket covers the body during the treatment to enhance relaxation.

This therapy is often accompanied by a facial massage to improve blood circulation and detoxification of facial tissues.
